About us

Established in 2008, An-Noor Masjid & Community Centre was founded to serve the religious and community needs of Muslims in Birmingham. After beginning in rented premises, the current building and car park were purchased in 2010 by the permission of Allah. Since then, our congregation has grown rapidly, and we are now working to expand our facilities to serve both present and future generations.
An-Noor is more than a place of prayer. We deliver weekly English lessons, run a thriving Qur’an school for children, teenagers, and adults, and host a dedicated Sunday Qur’an revision (Subac) programme through which the entire Qur’an is collectively revised every seven weeks, Alhamdulillah.
Each year, we also organise a major Qur’an revision gathering ahead of Ramadan, bringing together hundreds of Huffāẓ for a day devoted entirely to the Book of Allah. On this blessed day, the Qur’an is completed multiple times over an inspiring manifestation of our commitment to its preservation and recitation.
Our vision is to become a true Beacon of the Qur’an in Birmingham: a masjid recognised for excellence in Qur’anic memorisation, revision, understanding, and nurturing generations deeply connected to the words of Allah.
With Allah’s help, we aspire to establish a college in the near future and continue serving our community with sincerity, excellence, and purpose, In shā’ Allāh.
